Terms of Service

Last updated 15 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Motara. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to them. Please read them — particularly section 5 on cancellation and section 9 on liability.

1. Who we are

Motara is operated by AI Automotive Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS].

In these terms, "we", "us" and "Motara" mean AI Automotive Limited. "You" means the business entering into this agreement.

You can contact us at hello@carmods.ai.

2. What Motara provides

Motara is a business platform for the automotive aftermarket. Depending on which modules you subscribe to, it may provide:

We may change, add or remove features. Where a change materially reduces a paid module's functionality, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel under section 5.

3. Accounts and eligibility

Motara is provided to businesses only. It is not offered to consumers, and consumer cancellation rights do not apply.

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must be authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of your business.

4. Subscriptions, modules and pricing

Paid modules are sold individually on a monthly rolling basis. Current prices are shown on our pricing section and in the application. All prices are in pounds sterling and exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

The bundle

Where the modules you select would cost the same as or more than the Motara One bundle, we will supply the bundle at the bundle price instead, and you will receive every module. This is always at least as favourable to you as the selection you made, and we show you clearly when it happens.

Changing modules

You may add or remove modules at any time. Changes take effect immediately and we adjust your billing on a pro-rata basis: you are credited for unused time on modules you remove, and charged for the remaining period on modules you add. These adjustments appear on your next invoice rather than being charged or refunded immediately.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. If a payment fails we may suspend access to paid modules until it is resolved.

Price changes

We may change prices. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a change affects you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, reachable from Settings in the application. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then.

Because subscriptions are monthly and cancellable at any time, we do not generally give refunds for time already elapsed. We will refund you where we are required to by law, or where we have charged you in error.

If we are materially at fault — for example a prolonged outage of a module you pay for — contact us and we will put it right, which may include a credit or refund.

6. Publisher tools and the ad network

Publisher tools are free. If you integrate the Motara SDK into your app or website, you confirm that:

You control which advertising appears through the ad controls provided. Any revenue share is governed by the separate commercial terms agreed with you.

7. Advertising content

If you run campaigns, you are responsible for your creative and its claims, and for complying with advertising law and codes — in the UK, the CAP Code. You must hold the rights to any material you upload.

We may refuse or remove advertising that we reasonably consider unlawful, misleading, or damaging to the network or its publishers.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

You may use Motara data internally, including in your own reporting and decision-making.

9. Intellectual property

We own the platform, the SDKs, and the aggregated datasets we produce. You own your own content, creative and the data from your own properties. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service — including to process data from your integrations and to include it in aggregated, non-identifying analysis.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Motara provides information and tools to support commercial decisions. We do not warrant that insights, trends or forecasts are accurate or complete, and you remain responsible for your own business decisions.

Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails and is not resolved, or if required by law. Where practical we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

On termination your access ends and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the application. Continuing to use Motara after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
